POLISH Media is an independent media platform centering Black and brown trans and queer voices through journalism, commentary, and social-forward storytelling that doesn't ask permission to exist.

POLISH Media was founded on a truth the mainstream queer media has never quite been able to hold: BIPOC trans and queer communities are not a niche. We are culture. We are the influence. We are what's next, and we deserve journalism that knows that.

Led by Marie-Adélina de la Ferrière, POLISH is an independent media platform built from the inside out. Where the voices of trans and queer people are not subjects to be covered, but are the authorities doing the covering. Our journalism is sharp. Our commentary is necessary. Our storytelling is unapologetically ours. We operate at the intersection of cultural intelligence and independent media, producing social-forward content, long-form features, interviews, and commentary for an audience that is tired of being misrepresented and hungry for something real.

In an era when independent journalism is both underfunded and under threat, POLISH is a model for what sustainable, values-driven media can look like when the community it serves is also the community leading it.

Mission: To center Black and brown trans and queer people with the authority and nuance their stories deserve—through journalism, commentary, and community-driven storytelling that refuses to compromise.

  • Marie-Adélina de la Ferriere

    FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE EDITOR

    Marie-Adélina de la Ferrière is a trans writer, storyteller, and communications strategist whose career and lived experience intersect cultural storytelling, institutional communications, and Black queer and trans advocacy. She does not believe in the separation of rigor and relevance. Her work across editorial, public relations, not-for-profit, and institutional leadership has consistently demonstrated that the most important stories require both.

    DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

    Zariah Gosha is a nonprofit leader and community advocate, bringing expertise in strategic partnerships, fundraising, and cross-sector collaboration. She has a proven track record of connecting businesses, organizations, and community leaders to build initiatives that create meaningful, lasting impact.
